This site is for documentation and reflection on the process and making of TUG – Dog Kennel Hill project’s performance on the canals. Starting in Northampton in July 2010 we progressed around the UK at 4 miles per hour via Nottingham and Watford and then Kings Cross in 2013 and Sale, Manchester, 2014
We have published some of the performance writings, writings by others on various productions of TUG, and exposed creative dilemmas. More than that, we hope eventually – once all our materials have been collated – to reveal people, and sites that we encounter and all the strange negotiations and mis-communications that can happen when a group of contemporary dance artists approach work in wildly unfamiliar sites.
